Love a good story?

The Story Café is a virtual space where oral storytellers and lovers of oral storytelling can come together on a regular basis to forge connections, share experiences, ideas, inspiration, and push the boundaries of their collective imagination. And of course, to share stories!

Up-coming storyteller gatherings

We organise two regular gatherings each month, and have future plans to host and promote storytelling shows and events from across the globe (if this seems like a good idea – one step at a time!)

One is a networking event for storyteller’s to connect, learn, and support each other in becoming better storytellers, and, yes, the “business” side of storytelling, too.

The other is a monthy story circle where tellers can learn, share, and practice stories together.

Our Spaces

We have three beautiful virtual spaces:

A garden...

…filled with wild flowers, meandering paths, a bubbling stream, insects and birds and animals of all shapes and sizes and origins, and of course, many places to sit, chat, and think. Ideal for gatherings and intimate conversation.

A teahouse...

…of glass and hand-carved wood, with colourful hand-painted ceramic panels and filled with exotic plants. Ideal for story circles and smaller story events, this magical space can grow or shrink as needed.

A large indoor event space...

…that we can alter based on the event. We usually fill the space with round tables and fairy lights so that the audience can see the stage and the storyteller, and meet new people during the breaks, but if you can imagine it, we can create it!

Stories are a communal currency of humanity.
